About the event
Circuitous Answers: Lynn Sures speaks about her artist books, taking the approach of an artist drawn to books demonstrating form and content to be inseparable. She will discuss the process of creating her sculptural books Hungry, VARIATIONS on the Dialectic between Mingus and Pithecanthropus erectus, and Toscana; an homage to Bruno Caruso, La Mano dell’Uomo/The Human Hand; a digital short story, Awareness; and a newly published academic book, RADICAL PAPER: Art and Invention with Colored Pulp.

Lynn Sures creates multi-media works which examine geology and physics and their juncture with the origins of humans. She has been a SARF Fellow in Kenya and a U.S. State Department American Artist Abroad in Sri Lanka. Residencies include Museu Moli Paperer de Capellades, Spain; and the Press at the Palace of the Governors in Santa Fe, NM.
