About the event
We invite you to join us for our 2026 annual meeting, featuring an illustrated lecture by Mike Widener: "Looking for Pictures in All the Wrong Places: Law Books with Illustrations."
Michael Widener may be best known to members of the WRBG for teaching Law Books: History & Connoisseurship at Rare Book School. He is currently the U.S. Advisor to Mayfair Rare Books & Manuscripts (London) for sales to U.S. institutions. Mike served as the Rare Book Librarian in the Lillian Goldman Law Library, Yale Law School for 15 years, until his retirement in April 2021. He is co-author (with Mark S. Weiner) of Law’s Picture Books: The Yale Law Library Collection (Talbot Publishing, 2017), the catalog of a major exhibition at the Grolier Club, which won the 2018 Joseph L.
